  1. What legal basis allows Boon Bohne to process your data?

The Company processes your personal data based on Article 6(1)(a) and Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation, which is data based on your consent and on the legitimate interest of the Company to provide you information of ongoing events and offers organized by the Company.

At any moment you can contact the Company and change your preferences. This decision will not affect the legitimate basis of processing before the moment you change your choices.


  1. What data is collected? 

The Company collects personal data, such as, name, email, address, payment information, which is given by you in order to process your order and to contact you related to your order.

During events the Company may collect pictures of the participants for social media use. The Company will ask beforehand consent to any of the participants, which at any point can be withdrawn. In the event consent is withdrawn, the Company will remove the identifying picture from the social media account(s). The Company however, has no control over further use of pictures by Third Party platforms.

In addition, usage data is collected, such as identifying, and non-identifying browsing information, which is necessary to improve the Company website tools and services to you.

Lastly, the Company collects marketing and social media data as a commercial legitimate interest in order to offer you and inform you about other special offers via direct marketing, newsletters and social media marketing.

You have at all time the possibility to unsubscribe from the Company marketing services as soon as you do not have any further interest in being updated on these offers, or you wish to change your preferences, upon which you won’t be contacted anymore. 


  1. How does Boon Bohne Rösterei UG collect your data?

The Company collects your data via the relationship it establishes with you, for example via the service you order on the website, possible customer surveys and feedback forms at the end of a service, via email communication you have with the Company, by applicable law and necessity to provide the Companies services, safety and protection to you.

  1. How long does Boon Bohne Rösterei UG store your data?

 With regards to European data protection legislation and Germany taxation laws, the Company will only store your data that is necessary for tax-related purposes. Furthermore, the data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. For the personal data from the input of the contact form and those that were sent by e-mail, this is the case when the respective conversation with the user is finished. The conversation is concluded when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter has been clarified once and for all.

The Company has implemented suitable measures to safeguard your rights, freedoms and legitimate interests by having our tools regularly checked and updated.

The Company does not share collected data to Third Party partners.

However, the Company does use third party vendors to provide you the best service to its ability. When directed to another hosting location of a Third-Party vendor, you are advised to read the privacy policy of these partners. The Company has no control over the policies of these parties.

If in the future the Company will make use of Marketing or Advertising Partners, Boon Bohne will inform its Customers and update this policy as soon as possible.

You have the right to request ‘to be forgotten’ by the Company, under certain conditions. It cannot comply to erasure if the processing is based on compliance with a legal obligation which requires processing, or by request vested in official authorities; for reasons of public interest in the area of public health; for establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

  • The right to restrict or object processing 

You have the right to request the Company restricts or objects the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions. The Company cannot comply to erasure if the processing is based on compliance with a legal obligation which requires processing, or by request vested in official authorities; for reasons of public interest in the area of public health; for establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

  • The right to data portability 

You have the right to request a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, regarding the data the Company has collected about you, to transfer the data, to another organization, under certain conditions. If feasible technical, the Company will transfer your data directly to another controller at your request. This process shall not be carried out in case of the exercise of official authority is vested in the controller.
